How did Adam Sandler ever make it big?

no, thats not what i meant.
benny hill is funny, and amusing
but not on the same level as a comedic movie.
i wouldn't be able to sit through 2 hours of benny hill - it gets repetative after 30 minutes.

Easy answer:
He made it big because a lot of people (myself included) think he is very funny and enjoy watching his movies. Yes, it is stupid humor and yes, he basically plays the same character in most of his movies. I still think it's funny, so I still watch his movies.

Same thing with Ben Stiller. A lot of people don't like him, but I think he's hilarious. I even LMFAO at Zoolander. And I thought Starsky and Hutch was great.

Pauly Shore is the real mystery to me. That guy was NEVER funny.

I was watching Billy Madison _yesterday_ and still laughed my ass off at it. I don't know, hes funny man. I've seen Mr Deeds like 13 times. I love the way they setup his home town.

Ben Stiller > Adam Sandler

Sandler can't change his persona.... he always plays an idiot and people will realize "hey, its old, fvck this". Ben Stiller is versatile, almost like a comedic version of Tom Hanks.

Like Arnold in T3, got hyped, SOME people saw it, then reported back to other Arnold fans saying it svcked major chode.
