I guess the problem is that the directions change randomly, so it could be either really easy or really hard to get it in. 11 seconds the second time I tried.

How does that qualify as a valid test of a person's dexterity? The arrow keys change totally randomly, and you have no way of checking which direction the keys represent at any given time.
