Last time I checked, Gore had the popular vote, and was on his way to getting the Florida electoral votes. So Republicans are the ones trying to shortcircuit the recount process and steal the election.

Last I checked, Bush won, and then won again in the first recount. It sounds like the Demos are up to something fishy if they want to have yet another recount.

Red, don't waste your breath, your dealing with people that only think what they are told to think by those types of radio shows, websites and ultra-paraniod groups, besides they arent even smart enough to realize the FIRST election isnt over.

you know i was a gore supporter, but i think that realistically , with the current "rules" of the electoral college he has lost. He'll win in 2004 for sure, i'm sure bush will be a crappy president. Anyways, pick a winner already my stocks are down 15% since election day you stupid politicians, why dont we just kill em all, HANS AS DICTATOR!!

We need to get rid of this outdated electoral college. In the past it didn't matter at all since the elections were never close enough. If back in 60's when Nixon and JFK had the same problem and Nixon had not stepped aside, they more than likely would have had a similar problem that would have woken everyone up.

It is happening now though. People are realizing how much of a joke the electoral college is. Why shouldn't the person that gets the most votes win?

In its time way back in early america the electoral college actually served a valid purpose, now it is just in the way of having the people get who they wanted for president which was clearly GORE. This is coming from someone who voted from Nader too, so I don't really have any bias. I just think the whole situation is stupid.

Hans, I'd be careful saying stuff like this. After all every 5 terms a President gets shot or dies in office. And it has been 5 terms since Reagan... No wonder they found Dubya to take the helm. Nobody else was stupid enough.

Deep inside I hope Gore is just really smart and playing dumb in order to save his life. But then I see the rest of his still going campaign and I realize what I first noticed when Clinton took office. What a bunch of morons in this democratic party.

If the Republicans weren't just a bunch of brainwashed hypocrits I'd think it would be better for the country if they run it. At least they are more organized and seem to want it more.

But uncle Reagan left too deep of a scar to trusts those nuts even one more term. So I still hope that God is a Democrat and give this thing to Gore. After all, God knows that a moron can't do it on his own.

I have no objection for bellieving EVERYTHING you read on the internet if you want to have the most screwed up morals and beliefs. Read from the well known television broadcasting companies for the REAL news. And congrats, wiin, someone had to finally find a web site in favor of Bush/Cheney

Like NBC news, which stated that the "misleading" Butterly ballot was only used in Palm Beach County (which is a lie).

You're kidding yourself if you really believe that you're getting the "REAL" news from big networks. Journalists have their own opinions and those opinions always make their way into the story.

Hey, Red, interesting story on Drudge. I'd bet that Bob Callahan is a Democrat though -- that would be an interesting anecdote. :) I agree that Drudge is pretty much an idiot (never read or listened to him, but I've read the accounts), but his show was doing well from that report which makes the decision a little questionable from a business perspective. It's also interesting because I've found ABC's coverage of this election to be the least biased for the most part.

Yeah Wiin,

I'd question some of these links and whether they are accurate.

One of your links earlier has an article about how Gore's lawyers are sending overseas ballots to Cuba....
