How dangerous is it to get Arctic Silver around the core of the cpu?

I accidentally put too much AS on my Duron, and when i was evening it out, i got some over the edges of the core... i also cleaned it with Isopropyl Alcohol. Is there a chance i damaged it in anyway by having AS and alcohol around the core?

No, REAL(not the fake E-bay AS) Arctic Silver is not electrically conductive unless its compressed(much more than clip pressure).

your fine I went over to a friend house to help work on his system it was fis first home build. we were going to conect his L1s when I removed his hsf I saw he had put AS on the die and cast it was every were I laughed very loud. But it had been working fine.

It's OK if you get arctic silver on the core, it's suppose to be there anyways to help the conductivity between the heatsink and CPU core, don't worry.
