My cousin f*cked up his pancreas on those kinds of drinks. But he was drinking the kind with alcohol in them, I think it was called sparks or something like that. I was with him the opening night when he had to go to the ER. Not fun....
Did he passed out? Was he in a lot of pain? I wonder if pancreas cases like those are very rare. Usually people died from heart attacks or something.

No he didn't pass out but he was in major pain and throwing up a lot. They kept asking him how much alcohol he drank. The thing is he would drink cases of those damn energy drinks, it wasn't like it was a one time thing. It was all the time with him.
He just plain screwed up because there's no fixing it once you damage yourself like that.

Did he drinks cases in a short period of time or one/two bottles a day?

The good news for my buddy is he drinks the sugar free monsters. He was drinking 2- 4 of the regular ones a day for quite awhile. Realized he felt terrible switched to the sugar free ones and lost a bunch of weight.

My sis is a doc and tells me the pancreas has a mind of its own. When it comes to alcohol you could be a non drinker have 3 drinks and die just because your pancreas decides to say fuck you.

I don't even know how many he had the night I took him to the hospital but every time I was around him i'd always see him drinking at least a few.

Bah...

I was popping caffeine pills and drinking Monsters on little sleep. I wouldn't do it ever again. Felt my heart was going to explode.

I saw the YT video on the streamer who passed. MY thought is undiagnosed heart issue, zero sleep and high doses of caffeine. I believe he smoked cigarettes as well. Not good.

I have a buddy that drinks about 6 monsters at work then comes home and crushes a 18 pack of beer every night. Hes been doing this everyday for over a year a half. I dunno how he does it I'd atleast have to have some vodka with the monsters to cure the hangover. Even then 1 monster makes me feel like crap. If you ask him he swears all the vitamins in the monsters are good for him and that we all know beer is good for you. I figure he could die any day.

An 18 pack of beer every day? Are you sure?

I drink vodka every night but maybe the equivalent of 9 beers? I can't imagine doubling that.

Just have some coffee. The B vitamin overload from the energy drinks isn't good for you.

Most energy drinks aren't too loaded with B vitamins. But 5 Hour Energy (and other energy "shots") often have more caffeine than a 16oz energy drink plus several hundred to several thousand percent of the daily value for the different B vitamins.

I don't have any stats, but it seems, anecdotally, that ~1/2 of them include B vitamins. Now, it may not be a huge amount per drink, but if you consume several a day, you're definitely getting more that you need.

You game until the server goes down for nightly maintenance at 5AM or whatever, then you study for a few hours and go to class?

The B vitamins are pointless anyway - and if you really want them, eat a head of romaine lettuce every other day; you'll be good to go.

I've never seen an energy drink that had more than 200mg of caffeine. You know what has more than 200mg of caffeine? A $0.99 small coffee from McDonald's. Fuck energy drinks.

In college I had a classmate who would do that. He was a straight A student, he HAD to get an A. But he was also addicted to WoW. So he'd play WoW till like 2am, then study till like 4am, and then be in the next day at 8:00am. He'd pretty much be bloodshot all the time.

He ended up flunking because of one course. The TR project, which was a project we had all year to work on. he just procrastinated that project for the entire year and never ended up handing in anything. Not even a 1 night attempt at something.

I think it would have been funny if he made his TR project on procrastination and did it all the night before. I bet he could have gotten a pass due to the hilarious irony.

Not really sure, I imagine he probably did, but those only go so far haha. He'd get like 2-4 hours of sleep per night. Though we had some days were classes did not start till later like 10pm so I presume he caught up on sleep on those days.

For a while I was addicted to UO myself but midnight was always my cut off where I forced myself to go to bed, since I'd try to get 7-8 hours of sleep. Though near the end of the final year it was pretty crazy how much homework and studying we had, there was no time to game, and no time to sleep 8 hours.

I don't disagree with this. It's also possibly true if you eat fortified foods (many processed foods are) and take multivitamins.

Its hard to be sure he doesn't actually count his beers and buys it multiple cases at a time but going by the empties and such he drinks anywhere from 15- 20 light beers a night closer to a whole case on the weekends. He still gets up about 5am for work apparently cursing the alarm clock and sometimes puking but he gets up. Hasn't missed work in over 3 years and swears the rest of his day is fine once he starts drinking monsters.

I'm with you its insane, Im about 9 beers a night too. Much more than that and I'd be hungover, then to pound monsters on top of a hangover would be terrible. If I do a 12 pack plus it has to be spread out over a whole day even then less than a hand full of times have I ever hit 18.

Even if you do get sick, it will at least be a cool story to tell, and you absolutely have no chance of death from it at your age or probably even hospitalization. Sure you can stay safe, but at some point you need to write your story.
