How d2ol run on a computer on a dial up connection?

I have my main rig crunching d2ol which is on a 3000/512Kbps DSL line. I have 2 boxes at my mothers house, a 1.7Ghz and 2.0GHz Pentium 4 I would also like to put d2ol on but I'm not sure how it would run on a dial up connection?

Im sure it will download and upload when they are connected as long as you have the port settings correct. It will crunch on its own when not connected no problem. You prolly should keep the cache at about 100 cands.

I currently have the one only machine crunching D2OL on a dial-up, and has been performing just fine for the last 4 days!

you don't have to do anything, except increase the cache setting (and for a sloower boxen, the default of 30 would last a day or two)
the D2OL client will upload/download whenever an internet connnection is established, it will send the results and download to refill the cache, all automagically

Just be sure to check in D2OL`s properties on the general tab that the online box is ticked! I think it`s on by default.
