You get salt from it, duh :D Also sniperruff's tuna salad is tastier because of it. I think that is very important :laugh:

Well, saltwater fish(afaik) can't live in fresh water, so without salty water then we'd have no saltwater fish. I'm sure you eat saltwater fish.

I'd also think the salt level affects the rate of evaporation as well. It may also affect the coloration of nearby beaches.

The expression 'Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink' would no longer be relevant. It would cause the outcome of millions of conversations to change dramatically and time would get all messed up.
