I sold a book on amazon. Later, the buyer wanted me to offer her a full refund on the grounds that the person she ordered for no longer needed the book. I refused to give a refund, since the sale was made legitimately and consequently I would end up paying for her book if I refund it. She then filed a claim with Amazon citing that the book delivered was not the book she ordered. That is not the case; the book I sent to her was precisely the book she ordered. Moreover, I have her email where she states that she "got the book she ordered."
Amazon sent me the claim form and said that if I fail to respond w/in 5 days they will debit my account for the full cost of the book. I responded to the email, citing her emails and all other evidence to show that the sale was legitimate. However, I have yet to receive a response from Amazon, and I'm apprehensive on the grounds that they can charge my bank account arbitrarily.
Is there an amazon representative I can call or contact some kind of authority in order to protect my sales. All of the Amazon claims sites show how a buyer can file claim but nothing about how a seller can do the same or how a seller can defend himself. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
