I am thinking about getting a vapochill case with my next system cause I want to overclock the processor, and I have heard that having it fairly cold is a good thing. Is it worth it to get the vapochill case (costs $550 or so) or would something else be better?

EDIT: The whole system will be high end, have a dvd burner, geforce fx, and all that stuff... this case is supposed to keep your cpu at around -10 degrees celsius. It has a phase change cooling system. Also if you had read my second post you would see that it was a 3.06 ghz processor that I was planning on putting with it.

I was thinking get a 3.06 ghz p4 and overclocking that... or a 2.8 ghz if I decide its not worth it for the 3.06 ghz.

I would say get a faster CPU...550 for a case is not worth it...

Who knows, once we move on to 64bit processors maybe we'll have new form factors and that 550 dollar case would be worth nothing

Ya it's overpriced. Use the extra money or more RAM or a better CPU. Or save it and upgrade sooner and sell off your 'old' parts while someone might still want them......

there are alot of good cooling cases for 1/3 of that price. save the money or use it for something else. look for reviews on cases, most of the review sites including this one have them.
