I had them in my previous car and liked them. In most european cars they are not bad at all. Trucks are worse due to the height and eye level issue. The bad ones are the aftermarket HIDs installed by ricer idiots who don't care whether they are making the street more dangerous because they can't level their HIDs for crap.

I put HIDs in my MDX.

The bottom lights are the standard halogen bulbs.

I've aimed them downwards so I've never gotten a single high beam from anyone.

They are definitely much better than the halogens.

I think mine are 5700K and are somewhat blue. I think if I were to do it over, I'd get something closer to 4200K as the blueishness gets kind of gimmicky after a while.
