How common are "video tellers" at banks?

So I took my mom to the local Chase bank today - my first time there. Basically, the tellers are all located behind a wall, and in front of the customer in the wall is a TV screen and video camera, which shows the teller behind the wall (obviously set up for security reasons). You place anything you need to into this capsule which gets shot to the other side. It was actually pretty nifty and got me wondering how common these are. Supposedly this Chase was setup like this for a few years now.

I know that in Michigan, a lot of areas are considered high robbery areas so they have things like that. I've been to a couple banks near Detroit that had the video tellers. My gf also worked for Bank1 up there and I guess that's a common thing as well as bullet proof windows that seperate the tellers from everyone else. I guess they saw a demo in person in which someone at close range fired a lot of rounds into the glass and it only splintered a little. Here in Ohio, you can reach out and touch the teller if you where so inclined.

The location of this bank was definitely not in a high crime area. However, I do not know if this bank was ever robbed before. I would think not tho' since it's in a strip mall, and it's located close to a busy road.
