How common are dead pixels in camera lcds?

How common is it to have dead pixels in camera lcds? More importantly, are they covered under warranty? I ordered a SD200 recently (gonna arrive soon hopefully) and am really freaking out seeing as how most of the Sony PSPs I've seen had numerous dead pixels on them.

I've had two SD100s in the past and neither had any dead pixels at all. My Kodak 6440 had a whole slew of them though. 🙁

So what do you guys think?

my husband's canon G5 has one dead pixel. his powershot S200 has none.

my sister's S200 has none.

my S500 has none.

it's not very common.

Exchanging items through websites can take forever and I need this camera for E3. I'm also not too sure if they'll take it back because of dead pixels alone.

I've had 3 digital cameras and none of them had dead pixels neither on LCD nor CCD.
Plus, I've seen more than 15 of friends digital cameras and none of them had a dead pixel on LCD.

Bought a " return item " Sony at bestbuy 2 years ago and it had 1 dead pixel.

Just got a Canon Powershot A400 and no dead pixels.
