I have never seen video of the "inside" of a tornado. Video is always from a distance and ends before the tornado actually gets to where the camera is. Now I realize, very few people would be stupid enough to stand in the path of a tornado, but hasn't someone ever set up a very sturdy camera in the path of a tornado in order to capture what it looks like from the inside?

It wouldn't look like much....too much debris...

#1 For there to be a significant "eye" of a tornado it would have to be very large

#2 Large tornadoes have very high winds that not much can stand up against, especially a direct hit

#3. Tornadoes are very random and can change direction any time

#4. Tornadoes still are tough to predict where they will form

#5. WTF haven't you seen Twister? ;)

I think that one of the problems with this would be that a tornado's path is pretty unpredictable. There's no way of ensuring that the tornado would go over the place where you put the camera, unless you secured it seconds before the tornado hit the spot.

The residents would likely knock it over with their lifted pickup trucks.
