Close all windows except one that is the size you want your browser windows to be. Finally close that window and reopen IE.

you prolly resized a window to that size recently; the browser has memory and will open new windows to that size.

What the posts above this were telling you is that IE remembers the last window state it was in and restores to that on opening. If you close all other windows, customize it like you want and then Close this last window, it should remember your changes and open to the size you set it for last.

You can't just maximize the window though. So if you want your IE window full screen, manually drag the edges as close to the edge of the display as you can.


And, yes, this is incredibly annoying...
