How come theres no pork in "Pork and Beans"??

I just opened a can of Heinz Pork and Beans but there were no pork

Just beans in molasses

wtf

Supposedly, the Pork is ground up these days. Some label I read pointed that out.

Beans are great. I've been rockin' the GOYA but I think I'll throw some Heinz into the mix because of this thread.

As has been mentioned, Pork & Beans usually has only a small cube of pork fat as its pork content.
WHY it's not called "Beans & Pork Fat" I don't know...ought to be something in the "Truth in Advertising" laws about that...;)

Yeah, if you microwave the pork and beans, it melts into the thing and gives it a different taste. Not very significant though.
