How come there's no good book review websites?

Whenever I'm looking for a book to buy I can never find a website with book reviews. So I wander around Barnes & Nobles aimlessly 🙁

I just read things based on requirements/recommendations.

While Amazon's are often weird, there are usually enough to give you perspective on whatever book you are interested in 🙂

amazon has a lot of user reviews... often biased but you can generally get a good idea whether you'll like it or not
