This really bugs me.. I love fighting games, consoles have a bunch of good ones.. but we never get them for PC. Why hasn't anyone come out with a good fighting game? or is there any out there that I am just not aware of?

I have Street Fighter 2 for DOS on 5-1/4" disks. It worked with SoundBlaster.

Because its not popular enough.
Having two control gamepads and then two people crowding around a monitor aint that common.

Just as FPS are usually on the PC and not on console (well until recently but still not the same quality).

If you're looking for 2d fighting games made by capcom, you can find most of them available for emulation. But that of course requires that you own the original arcade unit just so you have a 'backup' copy :)

other than that, we seem to be really short on 3d games =\

My opinion on this is that there are just some games that are easier to play on consoles than on PCs, and vice-versa.

You really don't want to pound keys on a keyboard to play a fighting game, and you really don't want to do the same with two people at the same time on the same keyboard.

A lot of PC users don't have game pads hooked up to their systems, and if they do, it's usually just one instead of two. For those that do have two game pads, they're probably still watching the action on a small monitor instead of a big TV.

Consoles are a natural place for fighting games. Most people buy an extra controller for their systems and play on a big TV.
