How come there are files saved as "hs~XXX.html" in HomeSite?

XXX is the name of the file originally, then that type of file shows up, what is it?


ALso, how do I apply an updated template to the rest of the documents?

Probably a automatically generated backup file.

It's a temporary file created when you browse the page you're working on using the internal browser. It should disappear when you close HomeSite.

For your template question, you can't just update a template and expect it to update all of the documents based on that template. The template is only a starting point for a new file; once you alter the template and save it as its own document, changing the original template won't cause a global update.
