How come only the votes in Ohio are being recounted?

Afterall, there are several states where Kerry beat Bush by a smaller margin than Bush beat Kerry in Ohio. Why aren't the votes in those states being recounted if every vote counts?

Can a democrat please explain this to me?

It's cause the voting machines in Ohio are supposedly flawed and there was some voting conspiracy there.

I find it pretty strange that they just don't suck it up and try to make some standard voting machine for the next election. You should think that the most advanced nation in the world actually would be able to hold an election and count the votes precisely.

Because Ohio is NOT the only state being recounted -- New Mexico is being recounted. New Hampshire was recounted. Florida will be recounted. NC and NV will likely be recounted.

Those pushing for the Ohio recount WOULD PREFER to recount or even re-vote all 50 states. If you repugs want to go ahead and fund recounting of the currently blue states go right ahead! There is believed to be widespread fraud there as well in order to pad the popular vote for the "mandate" -- recount California and you'll just find Kerry's margin was even greater than what is currently officially reported!

I think its just to cause a big stir, everyone knows the recount will not (and did not) change a thing, its just a soapbox to stand on for those who werent voted into anything. To instill fear and doubt of the voting process.
