How come only files show there size and not folders ??? (Windows98)

How come only files show there size and not folders ???(When folders are set to details)

I was in the Trash folder and noticed that there the size is given for the folders. Is there a way to turn this feature on so I can see the folder sizes instead of doing the properties thing ????

Easy, just delete everything

By definition, the size of a folder is its FAT entry and one single cluster on disk. The contents of the folder has significant size.
