Love that song, "Precious."

My main genre's are usually rap and rock and hindi, so I don't usually listen to that kinda music, but man, it's awesome!

Reminds me off Cold Play + Techno + Trance?

Good stuff!

Hahah yea ok, I get it. But like I said, I don't listen to this genre, so I wouldn't know much about them and their existance.

Funny thing is I just found out about them last night. I was stalkin.. err... readin girls profiles on MySpace, and this one girl had "Precious" running in the background. It was catchy, so I googled the lyrics, and saw, "Depeche Mode." I was like, "Who teh F are theez guyZ?!?!11!!?" I shruged, downloaded the song from iTunes, and enjoyed.

Violator and Black Celbration are pretty good.

Heck, its all really good. Used to be a big fan back in the mid 80s.

I believe their first album was released in 1982, so yeah, they've been around for a while.

As far as "genres" are concerned...they are part of the music that was "alternative"

If you could get past the kids dressed in black their concerts were pretty kick ass as well. Saw depeche mode with Nitzer Ebb in 1989. awesome.

Get the "enjoy the silence" single. Your stereo NEVER sounded so good.

Excellent recording. Excellent stereo bass.

A lot of their singles had some really good mixes.

As far as how many albums/CDs they released? Including the singles I'm sure it is near 100.

That's my favorite song from the album already :)

Single mix is better?
