how come my roomate can't literally play ANY game under win2k?

he had a 900 Tbird on a A7V with TNT2 Ultra...
RogueSpear, Starcraft, Q3A, Half Life... all failed to start.
in Q3A though, it booted up the "little bluescreen" but paused with a line stated "Failed to load Opengl."
 
what drivers? he had the latest BIOS for A7V,
win2k drivers for Live and 6.18 for TNT2.
well, I am not sure does 6.18 do good for win2k, but if ignore the sound card and vid card,
what others could cause this problem, he also have a Netgear NIC, a Burner, and the 900 tbird is OCed from 750.
