How come middle schoolers get ibooks to use in school.

and yet the high school doesn't 🙁...
Lucky *******s...

They don't even use planners anymore.
They have icalendars.

and yet they still download loads of music.

and the district won't give high schoolers the notebooks until a few more years down the road...

As a high school student myself, I'd say that in most cases buying laptops for class use is a waste of money. Unless all the teachers really know what theyre doing and take the time to use the technology to the students' advantage, it just gives the kids an expensive toy to play with and maybe type some papers on.

Personally, I don't think schoolchildren should get computers. They're not required for children to learn math, literature, writing skills, reading skills, etc. at the middle school level, nor even at the high school level. I think the resources would be better spent on more or better teachers, and on developing better course content.

There's some kind of notion that the more money you throw at kids, the smarter they will become.
It doesn't work.
