Majority of left democrat/anti-war blame Bush for going to war and if WMD are found or not... Sure he has some responsibilities.
but he was going on intell from the CIA,NSA, ect... I think the public should put more blame on these idiots considering how many billions and billions of dollars they spend, just to do a half-ass jobs it seems...

And this would apply the same to a democrat president aswell... Bush and his admin for they know believed what the the agencies provided.... I feel if no WMD are found then changes need to be done here...
Its 100% unacceptable...

Yes but do you remember Tenet (CIA) this time last year was downplaying Iraqi capabilities? His comments were attacking Iraq made the region and US LESS secure. During the early winter the complaints from within the intelligence community (and the State Dept) was intelligence being shaped to meet pre-determined conclusions. Do you remember Rumsfeld saying DOD needed 'unfiltered' information? The current intelligence 'leaks' are characterizing Rumsfeld's unfiltered information as a euphemism for hot garbage.

Unlike the UK where a couple of people had the intestinal fortitude to call BS . . . no one of significance in this administration has come forwards, yet. I doubt Tenet's internal investigation will come to anything . . . but if it does his head should roll. If the rumors that Powell privately poo pooed intelligence on Iraqi capabilities while trying to sell it at the UN . . . he should fall on his sword as well.

Considering that over a hundred American soldiers died, impeachment would be too kind. AnImuS, you had to be under a rock not to know the Books on WMD were cooked. People in those agencies were being pressured to produce info of the 'desired' type. The CIA ought to Report to Congress and those cowards should take back the power to wage war and declare it themselves. The whole system has become a corrupt stinking cesspool.

Well if we're going to declare war on someone lets pick a spot with fewer people and less need for all the troops and bombs and stuff. I propose .... Iceland. With only about 300000 people and a few WMD volcano's and all that ice we could turn it into a really nice resort... hot springs, skating, and really kind of out of the way. Also my physician is from Iceland and she could catch a ride home as an embedded MD.

What is not being brought to light is that intel people within many agencies, senior analysts, were calling BS on what was being said. The director of the CIA is a friend of the Bush's. He refused to pass up reports that did not meet with the spirit of the presidents policy. Bush did not want to see any intel that critized his thinking, so he didnt. The Agencies did their job, but the politicians ignored them. You can bet though that if it ever goes to hell, that they will take the blame, not the politicians.

The only way that Bush could salvage any credibility from all of this is to claim that he was duped. If he does, he must call for the immediate arrrest and trial of those responsible. Since a war resulted form these actions, it will be hard to find someone willing to be a scapegoat like Ollie North. If it were to come out that the production of bogus intel was ordered from the top, Bush should resign.

Now there is a Hobson's choice. Either be dishonest or claim stupidity. Not an enviable situation, but one of his own making.

Why choose? Why not just tell it like it is and confess to both.
