I use IE, how can I fix this problem?
This is not a thread asking for browser recommendations, I would just like to know how to fix it in IE. Thanks

if you are using IE then your browser is having issues.

Try Firefox as even most sites that disable right-click can't stop firefox.

FireFox top bar. Tools, Options, Web Features, uncheck Java and Java Script.

Save those copywrited images to your hearts content.

Something like this (just one example, don't think I made my entire basis of nonfirefox on that :roll: ) is enough not to use FF. I've used IE for over 8 years and have had almost no problems and nothing severe that would require a reinstallation or anything like that.
 
A lot of people have never experienced what was in that thread, and I for one hvae experienced only one problem with FF, that of media plug-ins being a mild irritance. Otherwise, I'm glad to be rid of IE. Ah well, to each their own.

I have been using FF since it was FireBird. I had to use IE6 because of a fussy website a few months ago and bam I got hit with that damn WMF exploit. I haven't used IE since.

  • Dismissing those solutions offered? Check.
  • Continuing to make uninformed choices? Check.
You might want to try an alternate browser (either the aforementioned Firefox or Opera). Completely dismissing anything based completely off another's opinion (individually or collectively) without weighting your own personal experience is asinine - especially considering the cost factor (free aside from one's time).

If another's opinion is truly that significant, my own personal experience has shown either of the above mentioned choices to be a much better, more robust solution in nearly all cases.

It is rather difficult to learn anything new without trying anything new.

  • I've used the internet for a long time and have used many different browsers and none can compete with IE, IMO. Check.
As mentioned before, I have used other browsers, and maybe it's just me, but they have always seemed to be slower, messier, "confusinger", etc. I have never once had a virus on my computer and IE has been my primary browser. Maybe I just don't go to a lot of naughty websites or maybe I'm just lucky, but why end a good thing?

And, I'll edit my OP, just for you :roll:

I think that the next time Firefox is released, it needs to have code in it that makes it run in safe mode only (thus disabling plugins), just to see how much more stable it is. I've been using Firefox (with and without very very specific plugins) for several years, and have *never* had any issues such as what I read about in some of the forums.

I also implemented a rollout of Firefox across an enterprise about two years ago... after being the primary browser for a few thousand people for about two years, the only problems experienced have been related to user errors and data loss (through no fault of Firefox). I fail to see how it is so horrible.

In comparison, I cringe whenever I have to use IE... it feels rudimentary and unfamiliar now.

When you're twelve, six months seems as though it's a long time.

Considering some here (myself including) have been using the intarweb longer than you've been using breathable air, you may want to at the very least weight the information offered appropriately.

There is an adage along the lines of, "the right tool for the right job". Seems rather applicable here.

If one tool isn't particularly sufficient, try another.
