How come I cant find gum?

Why can I never find root beer gum?
Or lime?
Or chocolate?
Or pineapple?
Or coconut?

And only occasionally lemon gum, though its usually sugar free lemonade gum and it doesnt taste that great.
Anything else?

I thought about this when I noticed I can get Lime soda at my local grocery store. Then I noticed they had a few interesting flavors of gum as well. Nothing special, but it makes me wonder.

Those flavors were found to cause problems because kids would chew the gum instead of drinking milk, and they got the rickets.

I had fruit stripe, no good. I only liked it once when I was a wee laddie and not since.
I have had the trident mixed flavors and I do like them, but I want the flavors to be independant.

And what the hell are rickets?
Is that even a real condition?
