How come houses don't have urinals?

They're so convenient when you want to take a quick piss, and it solves the whole toilet seat up/down problem, which, as we all know is what breaks up marraiges.

And if it's good enough for a public restroom it's good enough for my home.
 
i have two bathrooms, one for me and one for the wife. That means i could get myself a urinal, i would never have to worry about putting up the toilet seat
 
Why bother when a toilet works better?

All you will do is add more plumbing to your bathroom so if you are rich go for it. 😛

Just use the ones that always have the water running so your dog and cats get fresh water. 😛
 
More plumbing=higher building costs not to mention it takes up more space that could be used for something else. Plus it's totally unecessary when you can do both at one toilet.
 
they arent cheap. and they take up a lot of space. youd need a good sized bathroom to fit a urinal, toilet, and shower/bath in there along with a sink

you can get a urinal at any plumbing wholesaler/retailer.
 
because it is kinda a waste because you can't have a bathroom with a urinal only

and you can stand up and go on a toilet as well

imo they should get rid of water-saving toilets and have one with 2 flush modes #1 and #2

they have 2 mode flush toilets out now. the only problems is that 1 mode is "water saving 1.6gallon flush" and mode 2 is "super water saving 0.6 gallon flush.
 
I had a dentist appt. today, and the washroom there had two buttons on the tank, a larger one and a smaller one. I could'nt figure out why. I guess it is for that purpose, the small one for #1 and the big one for #2...This thread has been very informative, thank you.🙂

hmmm dude houses do.

However in the normal homes most bathrooms can't fit them easily.
