I'm pretty sure that white people can name their kids Jesus if they want, you just have to be willing to have a kid that stands out.

Joshua is not equivalent to Jesus. Joshua comes from Yehoshua who led the Israelites after Moses died.

Jesus is derived from Joshua but I have yet to meet a "white person" who named their kid Joshua based on Jesus.

I'm not a very religious person, and I don't know if God exists... but I believe for people that do believe... Giving the name Jesus to an imperfect human who will undoubtedly commit many sins in his life, as all people do... is completely disrespectful.

I dislike hearing of people named Jesus, Mohammed(sp?), Ali, etc...

It's like.. What gives YOU the right to name YOUR child after your religious figure. Why is your child worthy?
It's straight up disrespectful. Of course if you don't believe in that particular religion, then you have no reason to care. If a atheist named their son Jesus, just because they like the name, thats fine with me.

our friends 17 year old son has been filling out job apps and i peeked them and for race the apps have.

hispanic white
hispanic non-white

"white" is not listed at all. these apps came from big corps like target, kmart, tacobell....
