How come Gamestop doesn't deliver?

Could be like a pizza joint. Just call, tell them what you want, pay over the phone and they drive it out to you.

I only say this as I will be out of commission after surgery in October and won't be able to drive to Gamestop to pickup Borderlands. It'd be nice if they would just drop it by on launch day.

Just a thought.

EDIT: and yes I know the online Gamestop delivers. I'm just thinking about when you really want a game right then and don't have transportation or whatever.

Amazon Prime has next-day delivery.

You can pay a courier service $50 to go pick it up for you at GameStop if you're unable to plan a day ahead.

They would have to hire a delivery driver for something hardly anybody will use. Think about it.. How often do people order a pizza vs. a video game??

I'm sure the same was said about pizza delivery before it became the norm.

If they plan on combatting digital downloads then they better have something up their sleeve. Microsoft is counting on the convience factor to justify the cost of full downloadable games; Gamestop could put a stop to that if they delivered the games to your door for the same price as in store.

Digital delivery is a much better way to do this though. How are they going to deliver it to your door for the same price, when they have to pay the driver, plus gas and maintenance? Digital Delivery is the way to go. If they could email you a Pizza you can bet that's how they'd be doing it.

I would grab it for you if you lived closer, no charge..

Downside is that you would have to live in California ( It's not worth it ;) )

thank you nonetheless. My wife has agreed to pick it up; I'll just have to wait until that night to play it.

Except that gamestop is going to get cut out of digital distribution.

Perhaps it is a good idea....for gamestop at least.
