How come all the women on Survivor have their pits shaved?

Is this something CBS makes the women do? It would seem a bit hypocritical if so.

Yep, but it's a switch from the early days. The girls used to be as hairy as the guys. Somewhere along the line the CBS marketing folks decided it was bad to have their cuties running around in bikinis with pit hair down to their knees.

It was never about "reality" anyway... just product placement. I've only seen part of one episode, but some idiot was about to do a task and the reward was Doritos. I've never seen anyone go so apesh!t for Doritos before....they aren't that great.

It was never about "reality" anyway... just product placement. I've only seen part of one episode, but some idiot was about to do a task and the reward was Doritos. I've never seen anyone go so apesh!t for Doritos before....they aren't that great.

See, that's where Survivor really lost it. When the players started getting enough to eat that they didn't have to barbecue rat the show went downhill.

And its not like CBS would let them starve or anything. That show is just so rigged.

Without a doubt. They have to give them basic hygiene for aesthetic purposes. Have you ever thought about what happens around that time of the month? Given that a lot of them stop having their period while they're there, but it still happens. So a razor is probably not the only thing that is an exception to the whole "survival" concept ...
