Why do all the Intel 133 FSB P3 boards have onboard video and sound. I don't need or want that crap on the board I buy. Why did they put it on every one (every one I've seen unless its VIA). Seems strange that they did that....
The onboard video on I815 motherboards is no big deal. It comes in handy to troubleshoot video failures and can keep the system operating while a bad video card is being RMA'ed. It does add to the cost of the chipset which is passed on to the motherboard buyer but all the Via KT UDMA100 motherboards sell for around the same price as the I815 and they don't have video.
