PA is one of those states that doesn't release this information to the public.

Unfortunately, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont do not currently provide addresses for registered sex offenders. Consequently, we are unable to provide adequate or meaningful information about sex offenders located in these states. We will add functionality that will allow searches by name and city in the future.

How many 18 year old high school seniors are there? According to modern laws, if they are having sex with their 16 year old girlfriend, they are a predator and deserve to have their lives ruined forever.

Actually, that depends on the state. The age of consent varies from state to state. I believe it's 16 in most of them, some are lower than that. Here's a handy chart:

Tried where my bro lives, since I'm in Canada and it doesn't have data. Pretty freaky.

1 street away and another 1 mile away about 1 block from a private college with many just turned 18yo's so he can be legal from now on.

now in the next town this happened here and one of them was a convicted child molestor.

I have one within 3 miles, but none anywhere near my neighborhood. I'm lucky enough to live in a nice area.

there's 2 within 1.5-2 miles :Q

to gopack: from what i understand, the laws of consent vary; all but 12 states allow a certain window period so that a HS senior who's 18 can screw his junior gf without that sex-offender fear. So except in 12 states, you don't have to worry about teenagers being branded as sex-offenders by overzealous law enforcement.

When I was buying my home - it occured to me that i might want to check to see if there are any sex offenders in the neighborhood, I was a single parent with a young girl (3 at the time). The list brought up a dozen in my town (its a small town) but no one imediately in the neighbor hood.

But i did reconize one name on the list - happened to be some guy my sister was kinda seeing.

My sister was out of town at the time, so checked with my folks to make 'em aware - they were.

Don't know who you'll find on those lists.....but it is always good to check.

Looks like Ill have to step up my plans on buying handguns for everyone in my home and getting them all educated in the safety and use of them.(Yes of course everyone Im talking about is over 21.) But still cant be too safe, honestly if youll rape a child what wont you do?

This information is about as valid as where the Commie's lived in the '50s. The government's definition of who a sex offender is very overbroad resulting in many essentially "false positives" in these disclosure programs.

One person I personally know was a college age kid who maintained a ftp site with porn on it. Some kiddie porn got on it-he claims without his knowledge but that's irrelevant. He's now branded as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

True sex offenders are the scum of the earth, but the hysteria of the Ashcroft/Bush administration went way overboard.

at about 1 mile, I'm lucky! They're everywhere!

Did you know that topless dancers can be arrested and convicted of a sex crime if they violate a 3 to 6 foot rule while dancing? That escorts who are for the most part harmless are convicted as sex offenders when caught in their trade?

Yes, I have real issues with the scum bags who rape women, or molest and rape children and would like for all americans to be totally aware of who might be living next to them, but there are some who are not a threat as the authorities would have you believe. When looking up the offenders see what it was that they were actually convicted of.

Just my 02 on the subject.

Move to California were we understand how to protect children.
