How clean is your car from the inside? With poll.

I personally keep my car absolutely clean on the inside. I don't store anything in it and seats and the floor are always clean. In fact, it looks the same as the day I bought it. I litterally don't have a single item I keep inside, other than my cd case and sunglasses.

Most of my friends, however, are a different story. They use their car as storage for all sorts of junk. Empty bags, sauce packets from taco bell, dirty papers, jackets, gloves, broken cds etc. In fact, whenever somebody gets in the car with them they have to make an effort and clean out the seat so that the person can sit down. That totally drives me crazy.

So how's your car?

The interior is nearly spotless. The trunk, however, has tools, car parts, computer parts, extra clothes, and sports equipment. 🙂

the front seats in my car and the floorboards stay clear...but theres usually some stuff floating around on the deck...a couple fast food bags...cds...jacket, whatever

Everything comes out of my car every time I come home with the exception of a few accessories in the glove box and trunk (pens, maps, flashlight and emergency gear). Oh, and my gym gloves stay in the center console as well.

Cluttered cars drive me nuts.

Oh, and cluttered cars are far more likely to be broken in to.

Travel coffee mugs are my downlfall. I start my day at 5 am and and at the end of the week I have any where from 7-10 in the truck. I bring all them in and my wife just looks at me and shakes her head. I always wash them myself though.

i clean the interior everytime i wash my car so its pretty clean
but the trunk right now has a bastketball, volleyball, and a frisbee
some extra clothes and a pillow 🙂

I used to keep my car/truck clean as can be. Detailed and waxed the thing every month or so, and only carried my music, glasses, and some condoms in it. But after getting married and having kids, our car is a disaster. There are french-fries, cheetos, and M&Ms stuck in every interior orafice. 😛

mine is a mess

i left a cup of soda (think fast food restaurant cup) in the cupholder. crappy ass thing busted a leak after a couple days and all the soda flooded the cupholder. well, it was a lot of ice that had melted, but still a bit of soda. by the time i realized this, it had already become a bit sludgey and i wasnt prepared to try to clean it. so i just left it there. this was just over 2 months ago (originally purchased nov. 12). a friend of mine was really disgusted with it so she ended up throwing the cup away leaving the sticky goop behind.

well, low and behold 2 months later its like it never happened. there are some pennies that i dont think i will ever be able to pry loose, but thats a small price to pay. moral of the story? ignore your problems and they just go away. that, and my car is pretty dirty.

What about the condoms?

:disgust:

I generally try to keep it very clean...I don't have any reason to throw all my trash in it. 😛 (Not to mention I don't eat in the car either.)

Inside, kinda dirty. I vacuum it out maybe 2x a year. Water bottles, coffee cups, general garbage on the back seat floor. I also don't wash it outside very often, only in the summer maybe 2 times. If it rains, bonus!

Long gone, my friend, long gone. (And not in the good way - which may be why I have 2 kids 😛)

My car inside is clean (no dirt), but I do use it to store stuff.
[*]I like to have a phone book there for local maps or spur of the moment restaurant searches.
[*]I have an umbrella there for the many rainy days.
[*]I have two ice scrapers during the fall/winter/spring months (so a passenger can help if s/he chooses).
[*]I have an atlas for the long trips. I guess I could take it out and put it back in anytime I leave the city, but it isn't much room in the seat pocket.
[*]I have dance shoes stored there since I always forget them.
[*]A couple of CDs/cases. And a pen for writing in an emergency.

Overall since that stuff mostly can fit under the seats, I have an uncluttered car. But it certainly has more stuff in it than when I bought the car. And it looks much more clean than the average car.
