You ever make a new friend/lover/aquaintance/etc and you visit their homes and want to leave because it's so filthy? Since I do some real estate investing I'm constantly looking at homes and it amazes me how some people live. I remember one home I went to I could'nt even make it through the living room because there was literally dog crap all over the floor, I made up an excuse and got the hell out.

Then you have some people's homes that are clean but funky. You gotta wash up before going to bed or the BO will infect everything you sit or sleep on.

My home office is a mess. I have papers everywhere, but that is because I am in the middle of finishing up several projects. I keep everything else fairly clean, but our kitchen gets to be a mess because one of my roommates and his girlfriend refuse to do dishes. Wonder if they ever found that nasty plate I stuck between their matresses since they left a bunch of dishes sitting around for three weeks during Christmas break.

I think VERY FEW people are that dirty
that's just sick.

I am cleaner than comparatively to my house I will admit though.. my room could use some cleaning.. but it's not DIRTY... just needs some re-organizing and such.

There's nothing worse than a roommate that refuses to do dishes. Except TWO of them... like I have :frown:

I had a coworker who sat in an adjacent cubicle and he would really reek of body musk. It was unbelievable, it would be 7:05 in the morning and this guy would smell like he had ran 9 back to back marathons. I mean my god how can you smell that funky first thing in the morning EVERYDAY? I was glad when I got transferred.

My roommate is clean but he doesn't pick up any mess he does... so whenever he cooks or eats, it's a big mess at the table or on the oven.

His mom still comes here to do his laundry and clean the bathroom... because I clean *everything* else. I feel bad that his mother cleans "my" bathroom, but fvck, at least she knows that if it's clean here, it's because of me, not because of him.

Having said that, I wouldn't trade him for someone else because we have yet to fight in 2 years.

What really pissed me and my other roommate off is that my dirty roommate's girlfriend refuses to do any dishes/cleaning because it is not her place. Even though she spends almost every night there and is the cause of me having to take a cold shower in the morning. My roommate (clean one) and I have decided that next party we have is going to be her official move out via Air mail.

I used to think that but there are a lot of people who either have no concept of clean or they just don't care. So of the homes I invest in are in very upscale neighborhoods and the houses are still filthy. I've seen homes with 4 and 5 car garages and the carpet in the houses are discolored from dirt and some of the bathrooms are just unspeakably gross.

I usually am pretty clean but I will just throw my books down. I really don't have a whole lot of space to work with so it can't really look too neat. Aside from some random papers on my desk and my books on the floor, it's pretty clean I guess. I really don't have any incentive to be overly clean since I'm not going to be living here after 3 more weeks ;)

I think I'm pretty clean. Every night, I clean up the play room, mop the kitchen floor and vacuum the house.

Was it a rental property?

Shouldn't you and his mom share the work evenly?

My apartment is a little messy, but not dirty. There's some blankets on the floor by the couch, and some books and stuff piled over by the wall, and stuff like that, but it jsut needs to be organized, it's not like there's cat piss and mud in here or anything.

i was watching the osbournes the other day... and the episode was about how pissed ozzy was gettin about all the dog craps he was finding around the house... im not kidding, there were probably 50-60 dog craps around this 9million dollar house... and ozzy is so fried, he would step in them and not realize it till one of his workers saw that he was tracking it everywhere.

i pride myself of haveing a tough stomach, but this episode was seriously making me want to gag !

I see a huge difference between messy and dirty. Messy isn't great, of course, but if you've got some papers piled up, books thrown around, and some sicks on the floor, that's no gid deal. If the socks are dirty socks and they've been there for six straight weeks, then the story starts to change....
