How cheap are outlet shops?

My nearest Outlet stores are about an hour away. Are prices really that great that it'd be worth it to visit the outlets then say go to Macy's with the extra 20% off all fashions?
 
Nope. Coupons at Macy's beat outlets if you shop around the specials.

Sometimes you get 2nd quality, rejects, irregular items at outlets...
 
Well... I have gotten a pair of Fubu and Tommy Hilfiger jeans at the outlet store I go to for $7.00 Pretty good to me
 
Depends on what you are wanting. If you're looking for a bargain on the purchase of one item then no, an outlet isnt your best bet. However, if you're purchasing several items, or if you're taking kids shopping, then yes they are a good deal and worth the trip.
