How can you watch a Video from the PC on the TV?

Hey all... and thanks for clicking...

I was wondering how I could watch a Video that I have stored on my computer on the TV.
Could I accomplish this using the S-Video connection? My 9700 Pro has S-VIDEO and my TV has S-VIDEO and I have the connection.

Also, would I need any software for this? or would it work like a regular monitor?

hook up the s-video cables, then navigate to control panel/display/settings/9700PRO, you should be able to select TV as output source. Did you try looking in the manual that came with the card, or checking the ATI site?

plug the cable in the card and tv, turn pc on and tv on with tv on av mode, and watch!

It's not always that simple, usually you have to get into the display control and enable TV mode or "Cloned" displays. I don't have a s-video cable for my R9700P 🙁

Yep. That's exactly what I do on my 9800Pro, works for me.
