We all know that if you take the label off your PSU you can void the warranty.
You also can void the warranty by replacing the fan inside the case yourself.
In whwt other ways can you void the warranty?

I read on these forums somewhere that by installing your PSU upsidedown or anyway other than rightside up voids the wearranty.
I have several letters from several manufacturers saying thats not true.
Can you void your warranty by installing your PSU other than how it was normally designed to go?

Please help. :)

Id doubt installing the PSU upside down, when in a case where the PSU can be safely mounted upside down... would invalidate warranty. I believe the P180 allows for the PSU to be mounted upside down safely and isnt that one of the BTX case style stipulations, upside down PSU mounting?

Mistreatment of any good would breach warranty... however unless the fan/fan grill is blocked, other open grills are tightly blocked or the PSU is unsafely mounted (ie. loose, could fall etc.) then I dont see how mounting the PSU upside down is a breach of warranty.

The only way to void your warranty is to break the seal sticker on your psu if plan on opening it up.

I was told that if you take off the sticker on the outside of your PSU that tells all the wattage of all the rails that would void your warranty.
Anybody have proof of the contrary?

The sticker says it voids the warranty if its removed, so obviously it does......

I dont see how installing it upside down would void it anyways. Its a moot point anyways, for the manufacturer would have no way to tell if it were upside down or rightside up.

Some cases mount the PSU sideways... It is probably best to mount your PSU right side up (usually would be with the main PCB down) but really doesn't matter as lots of new PSUs have a big fan that has to be on the down side (facing the inside of the case) (would put the main PCB up).
