How can you tell which CD-R brands use Tayo Yuden Media?

I've heard that TYs are the best as far as longevity goes, so I'd thought I would take a shot at them. I have no clue how to tell which brands use their media however. Also it would help if it is one of the more common brands, as I may be able to get it from Best Buy then(I work there, so I'll get a decent discount then). Anyone have any experience with this media?

Usually Fuji, HP (office max) use this media.

Recently, Memorex and TDK have been reported as using some of this media.

Spindles in the plastic container with the screw off top are usually the ones but the most important thing is that they say they are made in Japan right on the packaging.

you can use CDIndentifier, it tells you where the cd is made. I think its up to version 1.63.
Or Smartburn Media Check 2.0 if you have a Liteon.

if you want TY's, 100% of Fujifilm are, but ONLY the Memorex and TDK's that have Made in Japan or are in BLACK spindles are TY. The others (in white spindles) are Raitek. there are a number of online stores that sell unbranded TY's. The oinly thing missing is the nice writable surface on the non-read side of the disc :D. For that I would check out CD-R Planet. Have fun!
