How can you tell if someone's Heat is theirs?

I realize that AT does preventative measures to prevent Trolls by making sure their email addy is valid, but is the only way to steal someone's heatware by hacking their account.? Or are their other methods? Curious, because I'm trying to think it through and it's not making sense

I don't know...it seems heatware is only linked to an email address...so the only way is if someone steals the email address
