How can you tell if a package will require a signature?

So my 2005FPW is suppose to come today, but I wont be home for the majority of the day. How can I tell if someone will have to sign for it when it is delivered? I don't wanna wait a another day and have to go pick it up.

I left a note on my door for my 2005fpw last wednesday... They wouldn't leave it... The infonotice they left said 'In Person Signature Required'

UPS rescheduled the delivery date on my 2005FPW. 🙁

It was originally scheduled for 24 May, but they moved it to 25 May. 🙁 Nevermind that it arrived my my city on 23 May.

Well, they required a signature when I ordered Apple iPod socks... ironically enough, Fedex shipped the iPod mini's (I've ordered 2 so far) and Fedex just left them in my garage.

I didn't know apple socks were worth more than the iPods themselves 😉

Haha....so is it product value that is suppose to determine if someone has to sign for it? Do they tell you anywhere before hand that a signature is required?
