How can you save files in a printer queue?

I have an application that generates documents for printing on-the-fly. These cannot be saved, but they can be printed as they are created. Is there any way you can save the images that are waiting in the printer queue to disk?

My dilemma is that I have thousands of pages that are generated by this application, and I need to save them to disk so I can send them to a high speed printing service.

thanks

Most apps will let you "Print to File" instead of to a printer. Then you have it.

Do you happen to have wordperfect office? You could install Envoy from it (behaves very similar to adobe reader) that will allow you to print to the Envoy and it will save as a document.
