how can you- raid0 2 harddisks daisychained from a 1 channel scsi card?
is this possible via software raid, what operating system?
does it slow down the cpu tremendously?

software raid will work just fine (win2k or winxp pro for windows users). go into disk management and you will see options convert to dynamic disks, and then you can stripe two hard drives together.

i do not notice any slowdowns in processing speed with two 36XL cheetahs in win2k raid 0, but then again i am running dual 1ghz p3's.

What he said:)

You should not notice any serious slowdowns, I had this implemented back on NT, with a P-Pro 200.

Could you be a little more specific? It would help to know just where/what the problem is so that we can help you to solve/diagnose it.

Could you try the procedure yourself? The guide may be for 2000, but it is very similar for XP.
