How can you overclock your 9700???

Yes it can, it hasn't been thourghly tested with the 9700, but has been run through it's paces on practically every DirectX7.x,8.x vid card around.

I love you guys! I post a message in the early afternoon, go out to the city for the day, come home and I have 6 replies! I'll check that program out, thanks guys!

I've got mine overclocked with powerstrip. Core is at 360, memory is at 350 right now, I get the occassional artifact, I think from the memory...I think the core can take some more though, so i'm gonna try like 375/340 or somethin.

Can I use the same heatsinks/heatfins that I have on my Geforce 4 with the 9700? They've let me pump my 4400's memory up to 680mhz, maybe I can pull the same performance out of the 9700.

I'm having a problem with PowerStrip. It will no longer let me overclock the core. I can still move the memory anywhere I want, but anytime I try to OC the core it goes back to the default the second I hit apply. What is causing this?

Mine is doing the same thing. Are you using the leaked betas? I noticed this after installing the 6159 drivers. I can actually overclock a little by only moving the core a couple at a time. Time for a new Powerstrip revision I think 🙂

Nope, no leaked betas. The funny thing is, I just built this PC yesterday and it was overclocking just fine. I had pushed the core up to 351 and was going to run at that for a while to see if there were any problems. I ran all last night at that fine so I was going to up it some more today. But when I started my PC today, it had reset the core to 324 and would not let me push it up anymore.

Same thing here. I got as high as 355 with the core when PS went nuts. Which driver are you using, Deeko?
