how can you make an svc golden gate 30 quieter?

yeah, i know it's supposed to be quiet already, but i don't think it's that quiet. i only think it's "quieter" when compared to a delta fan.

anyway, is there anyway to mod it so that it's a bit quieter? besides replacing the fan? some people have said to run the fan at 7v. how would i go about doing this?

To get 7volts your gonna have to tap into the 4-pin connector, + goes into yellow, - goes into red...and that gets you 7volts.

If you search the For Sale Forum, and search for "3/4pin" i've seen some adapers there that go from 3pin to 4pin, but switched over for 7 or 5 volts, and also has an RPM cable to still monitor RPM, kinda interesting too see what RPM your fan is running at 7v... Some guy there makes em, they look pretty professionaly done
