How can you find who defriended you on facebook?

Sometimes people deactivate their accounts temporarily, so the 2 missing friends have not necessarily unfriended you. I use who.deleted.me to find out, it makes a copy of your friends list and matches it real time with your most current list and it will notify you if there is a difference (added/deleted) friends.

I will not answer a question with a question, although I want to.

I would think that any normal means of doing this would be blocked. The potential for abuse seems extremely high, what with all the weirdos.

Jeez. I had 5 friends at the beginning of this year and it went down to 2. The 3 people still have active accounts...

Keep telling yourself that...I don't like friend mongering just for the sake of seeing a big number every time I open up FB. I just took out 5 people yesterday but was disappointed since I was hoping for 10. I don't see the need to keep people around if they never post and never use FB to talk to you.

And this coming from someone who works with the public and is very social.

It's defined as social media for a reason.

It's not for the anti-social which I'm sure you both are.

If you don't even know who unfriended you how socially involved could you have possibly been with these unknown individuals?

If you want to get your number back up make a couple fake accounts and friend them.

The friend count is messed up. It varies all the time by a couple. One day it may drop by 2 or 3 and then the next it will be up by 4. I saw this and so I sat down and counted all the contacts and the count on the page was off by a few
