How can you change the resolution in Diablo 2-LoD?

So when I play the some games (Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo II - LoD, Comand and Conquer Genrals, exc.) the screen is split. I know that it?s the resolution because when I set my desktop resolution to 800 x 600 and blow it does the same thing. It also did it in Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory but I changed that in the game.
So I just need to know how to change the resolution so it?s higher for Diablo 2 - LoD preferably out of the game. Thanks.

I haven't played it in a long time, but I remember that Diablo 2 and its expansion's resolution is locked at 800x600 (or is it 640x480?)

I think it is 800x600 locked. no way to change it, too old of a game...

Although not documented, you may run Diablo 2 in a Window instead of full-screen. Simply add "-w" to your Diablo 2 shortcut. (ie: "C:\Diablo 2\Diablo II.exe" -w)

The original D2 was locked at 640x480, the expansion pack then added the 800x600 option.

Does it not resize the game to fill the screen?
If it did you woul dbe set (800x600 -> 1600x1200 no problems I think)

You ever play a game at 800x600 on a 20" LCD or 21" monitor? It's HUGE (and ugly).
