with someone you have never met? or maybe that is it, because if you met him the infatuation would fizzle.
i know this guy from online and i think about him every day. what are the chances that someone's online personality will be the same as their real life one?

About the same as the proverbial one-legged man winning an ass-kicking contest.

Because you have a fantasy of what he's like in your head. How many people add negative things to their fantasies?

I don't think it's a good idea to get too close to people online until you've met them and know them as a person...

Sounds like she was waiting for you to make the move, but you never did.

Because you haven't smelled his stinky breath yet.

You can always imagine someone that you've never met as perfect, but if you actually get to know them you'll get a nice reality check. You shouldn't have unrealistic expectations if you want to meet this person, because it would just lead to disappointment and it would be your fault for having those expectations that no human could possibly live up to.

Well, the reality is that I'm married. But, I'm still infatuated with you too, Mosh. If only we had met sooner. *sigh*

edit: other than that, I'm sure I'd live up to your expectations :)

i met a girl online (actually several) and have been to tokyo twice to see her
well really, i was going anyway :D

i think the key (like in any relationship) is to constantly communicate and try to understand each other's position.

SLIME is about right....describes half the people on the Internet.

It's easy to be infatuated with someone when you don't know any of their negative characteristics and all of their good (plus a few made-up ones).

I've had a few girls become very infatuated with me over AIM, and I've become infatuated by a few myself; I've had good and bad results. It's not unusual, though, it's easy to show someone nothing but your good side without any of the negative things that come with being human.

Unless you're Lindsay Lohan and thus perfect in every way.

what do men like? yes, i know... one only needs to LOOK at all of the women pic threads to divine that...
what do women like? communication?
so if a m is aiming/typing/talking to fem over the net?
alright :)
i wonder if there's a virtual boyfriend site, where sisters can JUST type/email brothers for hours on end.
ooooh, i would be so paid!
ok, don't nobody steal my idea :p
hahahahahah
again, gl :) hope it works out!
