You know, a raver could rant about how much some of us spend on computer crap, or how much some spend on their cars, etc. Bottom line is, everybody likes different stuff. The fact that YOU don't like it, doesn't make it "retarded".

And no, I'm not a "rave kid" or whatever they're called. I just understand that different people have different interests.

And glowsticks look cool, man!

Seems to me that people can be as agressive about their tastes in music as they can about religion or politics.
But it just boils down the the fact that different people like different types of music.
I myself like the music, but I don't do any of the drugs, and I'm not really into the 'scene' at all, so I can't even blame my tastes on being 'hepped up on goofballs'.

But no one is asking you to listen to it, or even like it...

i say to each his own.

I couldn't have said it any better myself... or maybe I could, but I'm just too lazy to type up some detailed response entailing the difference in ones opinion.

Take your pick

well as for the DJ's being over paid so are most of the other people in the world. Footballers on £100k a week, $20mill for one film, etc etc

I like the music to dance to. I have more respect for people who play instruments then a DJ. I just go out to club to it. Think its nothing amazing but have my fun.

The glow sticks look crap at times. The drugs is bs. I don't do that stuff.

how can you stand computer stuff. The noise of overclocking is annoying as hell and the BLAH BLAH BLAH!

Try beat matching in real life before you go on your little rant.

Yes drugs are pervasive in the rave scene but you would be surprised at the amount of drugs taken by professional people
at respectable mega-dance clubs in LA!

Its not just freaking little e-tarded kids mind you.

drugs have overridden the scene so bad
I agree with this. It's disappointing and gives trance a bad name.
when it comes to trance there is no creativity when it comes to mixing its just plain simple beatmixing
LMFAO...ohohoho, good one...you obviously have never listened to real trance if this is what you think. Go out and find something from the Israeli scene (e.g. Infected Mushroom, Astral Projection, MFG, or others of that caliber) and then tell me what's "simple" or "plain" about those tracks.

BTW, what music do you listen to? I'd looove to hear what truly *complex* tunes sound like. Edumacate me, big guy.

Dude, you *really* need to get a life.

If you have a problem with a particular genre of music then fine, but taking the time to post your "epic" manifesto here and seek out other crazies who share your views is truly laughable. Do you realize how trivial this is in the grand scheme of life? Get laid or something and then come back when you have successfully dislodged that massive hero from your buttcrack.

blah blah blah....

as stated...to each their own...i'll listen to any type of music and hit up any kind of scene, some i like, some i don't...and that's that...

i could go into a lot of detail to counter your rant...but i don't feel its worth the effort...the previous posts already bring up good points...plus your post is all generalizations and you obviously have no understanding whatsoever of the scene...

have a nice day :)

I do ... i mix hiphop :) as for djing being easyer then playing an instrument, yes if u are just beatmixing, but if scratch, its just as hard as an instrument.

Same rant, new generation...

There's some great, great trance music out there; what you get out of it really depends on your outlook, however. My g/f doesn't understand it because it doesn't have lyrics. To her, songs are about meaning and words and emotions.. The electronic soundscape of trance is lost on her..

Have you ever tried beatmatching with progressive trance? its not as easy as beatmatching for hiphop.

LOL! You listen and mix hip-hop songs and you have the nerve to call trance/techno "annoying...repititive...overpraised...overpaid..."

And dont even get started on that drug crap. The only thing rap/hip-hop songs talk about is cars, money, and hoes. The "rappers" get paid millions for putting out crap like "h to the izzo", and its obvious in most hip-hop lyrics that words are chosen just so they rhyme together. I used to be a fan of it but I outgrew it and moved on to rock and techno.

BTW, Im not into the rave scene but I am in the club scene and listen to trance all the time, and the only drug Ive ever done while "clubbing" is alcohol.
