How can we tell the new 5600 from the old 5600?

How will we be able to tell the new flip chip GFFX 5600 from the old PGA chip style?
The new FCPGA 5600 clocks much higher than the old and offers tons better performance
over the original NV31. I just dont want to purchase the old card by mistake. And its not like we
can ask vendors to rip off the heatsink to check before we purchase.

Thanks

I've asked this before.......and no one was able to answer for sure. I guess we just wait until we know all the old ones were sold??

the clock speeds should give it away. look for the fill rate - shoud be 1600 comparedto 1400

I saw that the new 5900 Ultra just became available for retail sales. So hopefull the other 2 5900's (midrange and value) and the new 5600 will be out soon.
What is the MSRP on the new 5600 Ultra, anyone know?

The cheaper 5900s aren't scheduled to be released for at least 2 more months.

I'd say the 5600Ultra should be available by the 2nd week of July .
The clock speeds of the newer model are : 400/400

I'm suppose that BFG will be the first out with these also, since they were with the 5900 Ultra :)
