How can we help?

For many decades US has been the helpful big brother who has been watching over us in Europe and other free nations. Sometimes you have engaged in conflicts we did no agree on and we have also looked at you society and culture with somewhat bafflement in regards to your "ways" of doing things. But the last month it seems your official stance has gone from friendly to hostile, which quite francly is quite scary. But we know that most of you actually didn't vote for Trump.

So what can we outsiders do to to help you on the inside, regain power and law of the land so we can get our helpful friendly and slightly quirky big brother back again?

Arrest Trump and Elon the next time they leave the US.

Avoid travel/tourism/commerce in red states. If that seems to difficult, avoid the reddest of the reds as depicted here:

Yeah I don't know if it matters in the "long run," but I endorse Canadians boycotting American goods. Perhaps the only thing that convinces feckless CEOs that Trump has no clothes is when their net profits shrivel due to trade wars against the entire world.

Imagine Donny raging at his economic team once his policies cause a recession, and his beautiful stock market indices have tanked.

Teach the Mexican cartels everything Ukraine knows about war.
And give them millions of drones.
Millions.

Nazis won't let go of power, and they will lead us into war with everyone else. Everyone else needs to be prepared for that war.

Out of curiosity, what country are you from?

Denmark IIRC. One of the countries us Muricans fantasize about in our dreams. :p

Per the Elon Musk thread, Carlos Slim has canceled a bunch of lucrative deals with Starlink. That should increase the likelihood of Trump's tariffs against MX and CA (currently postponed until early April?). American consumers better buckle up: turbulence ahead.

Stupidest statement I've seen so far this year.

I suggest every one listen to Rachel Maddie’s, American ultra. What happened in the 30’s-40’s is way too similar to what’s going on now, right down to some of the movement names and language. If I had to guess I’d say that Russia is running the same play nazis tried running here and it was a miracle they didn’t ultimately succeed.

The podcast discusses basically profiles in courage while at the same time explaining how the Nazis convinced Americans to peddle and support their propaganda. And no it wasn’t just a matter of the American public being stupid.

The better we understand history the better prepared we can be for the present.

@biostud honestly, help us by helping yourselves.

The least helpful thing to do in these sorts of "domestic" disputes is getting entangled as an outsider.

Whatever you can do "over there" to ensure that the torch of the western liberal democratic order doesn't get extinguished (even if it means a remilitarized EU, mutual defense agreements that don't involve the US, economic delinking with the US, etc) then support that.

I know you Euro's have a hard time seeing eye to eye due to your somewhat... extensive histories with each other, but it's time to buckle down and come together over a common enemy: The United States.

I stumbled across this 2015 article just yesterday.

Too bad voters didn't learn shit between then and the 2024 elections.
Let's take a moment to remember the complicity of the media in this, with their sanewashing and downplaying Trump, and the effectiveness of foreign influences via social media on the easily duped. So it's more than just voters not learning or being stupid, though those are certainly factors.

Would you like to unpack that?

Step 1... MAGA are Nazis.
  • They are openly xenophobic and hostile towards ALL others.
  • They are campaigning on real, perceived, or fabricated grievances against everyone.
  • They are calling from the removal of the sovereignty of our neighbors. Changing borders, military strikes, conquering, etc.
Step 2... MAGA opposes Democracy
  • Calls votes they lose fake. Refuses to accept elections.
  • Physically assaults Congress to overturn an election
  • Tried to kill Vice President Mike Pence.
Where do you think such a hostile and militaristic fascist movement leads?
Would you like to ask Europe?
So it comes down to this. What outside FORCE can stop the outright EVIL that is MAGA?
  • Canada simply does not have the manpower. No matter what they do, if Canada does not have WMDs, they will be devoured and destroyed with nary a peep.
  • Mexico has half our population. Better odds than Ukraine has against Russia. If Mexico's military was a meaningful force, cartels wouldn't exist. So if you're addressing Mexico, you address their actual power structure.
The choice is clear. When MAGA comes for Mexico, Mexico needs to be armed to the teeth with modern warfare. Central, South America, China, Europe can assist with that.
And don't be a chicken shit. Whatever horrors Cartels bring, are nothing compared to what the Nazis will do. They are a lesser evil. They are preferable to MAGA.

Seeing Shithole Texas colored purple just seems so wrong, this is among the reddest states in the confederacy.
(Although the hues are a bit different) I was gonna say it's weird to see TX, FL and MT lumped in with the battleground states lol

Montana was Trump +20 smdh
